HOW DO I PREPARE FOR A FLOAT SESSION?

If this is your first appointment, please arrive 15 minutes early for orientation and paperwork. You will be asked to take a shower before your float to remove all body oils, lotions, and makeup. There is a shower in the float room. After your float, you will take another shower to rinse all of the saltwater off. Eat a light meal or a snack before floating. Avoid stimulants such as caffeine and nicotine that can make it harder to relax. Avoid drugs and alcohol, too.

WHAT TO EXPECT DURING A SESSION?

Float therapy, also referred to as sensory deprivation or isolation tanks, is what we like to call Floating. Being comfortable in the float tank is what is most important and you don’t have to remove all stimuli to experience the benefits. You can leave the lights in the tank on, have a music selection playing and leave the lid open. We just want you to be comfortable and float. The Float Pod is a very spacious tub with a lid that you get to control. The tub has about 10 inches of water with 1000 pounds of Epsom salt, which keeps you afloat in water that is skin temperature. This all creates a comfortable, relaxing environment that is perfect for healing what ails you.
